The doctor will gather a detailed case history in person or via telehealth and may ask you to complete questionnaires about yourself or your child’s development and behavior. Based on this information, the doctor will determine the most suitable tests and assessments.
Based on the referral reason, you or your child may attend one or two assessment sessions, each lasting between 90 minutes and three hours, with breaks provided as needed to maintain focus and comfort. The doctor will determine the appropriate number and length of sessions to ensure a thorough and personalized evaluation.
Once the doctor has reviewed the test results, you'll meet again for a feedback session approximately 2-3 weeks after the last testing session. During this session, scheduled about 2-3 weeks after testing, the doctor will explain the findings and how they relate to observed behaviors, learning patterns, or emotional concerns.
The doctor will also outline recommendations and strategies based on the results, helping you understand the next steps to support you or your child’s development and well-being. A detailed written report will be provided, which you can share with primary care providers, schools, psychologists, and other relevant professionals to ensure coordinated support.
